HIRO

Hiro Connect policy

Fraudulent postings and records

Every shift on HIRO is posted by a venue Hiro Connect has verified, with the pay stated before anyone applies. When a posting or a venue is not what it says, tell Hiro Connect. A person reads every report.

What counts as a fraudulent posting

  • A shift at a place that does not exist, is not open, or is not the venue named.
  • Pay, hours or duties that differ from what the posting said once you are there.
  • Asking you for money, a fee, bank details or documents Hiro Connect did not ask for.
  • Someone pretending to be a venue, a Hiro or Hiro Connect.
  • A posting used to meet people for anything other than the shift.

How to report it

  • On any shift, open it and choose Report this shift, including open postings in Discover.
  • On a venue's page, choose Report this venue.
  • In a conversation, open More and choose Report this conversation.
  • Not signed in? Sign in and report it from the shift or the venue's page.

Reporting is never anonymous to Hiro Connect, and the person or venue you report never sees your report or who sent it.

What Hiro Connect does

  • A person at Hiro Connect looks at every report and decides it, with a reason on record.
  • Hiro Connect can remove a venue's verification, which takes its shifts down and tells everyone booked, cancel a shift, or suspend an account.
  • You hear that Hiro Connect looked at your report. What Hiro Connect does about someone else stays private.
  • You can also block a venue or a Hiro yourself, so neither of you can connect again. A shift already confirmed still stands until one of you cancels it.

How long Hiro Connect keeps postings

Hiro Connect keeps every shift posting, and the terms it was published with, for at least three years after it comes down. Those terms are fixed when the venue publishes the shift, so they show exactly what was offered.

This is Hiro Connect's pilot policy. It may be updated after Hiro Connect's legal review. Last updated 24 September 2026.
